A race of primitive, satyr-like beastmen that inhabit Plateau of Leng. They have horns, hooves, and tails, and very wide mouths.
History[]
In ancient times the Men of Leng were a powerful race and built cities, including the city of Sarkomand which was their capital. Ages ago they were enslaved by the Moon-Beasts and now serve as their go-betweens in interaction with humans.
According to Brian Lumley's "The Clock of Dreams", men of Leng once took part in seizing Dylath-Leen under the command of Nyarlathotep. For many years Moon-Beasts traded rubys with Dylath-Leen citizens, and they brought to the city the biggest ruby ever seen, leaving it on a pedestal in the main square as a false token of esteem. The magical influence of this great jewel bewitched the people, and in the end they became slaves to be led away to the black galleys of the traders. Men of Leng invaded the city, but Titus Crow and Henri-Laurent de Marigny were able to throw them out.
Religion[]
The Men of Leng, like their Moon-Beast masters, serve Nyarlathotep.
